As New York is an international city, New York PHP is an international community, and with the Internet spanning continents, so too does NYPHP. Regardless of your geographic location, you're encouraged to join NYPHP and get involved.
 
Simply subscribe to a mailing list and you're a welcomed NYPHP member. Browse our real-time archives, actively participate in discussions, or get involved with NYPHP's projects, partnerships and development in a highly energetic and cooperative community. Mailing Lists

New York PHP is proud to host some of the most popular and well-received mailing lists for the PHP and AMP Technology communities. With thousands of members and growing rapidly, we provide a uniquely focused resource for getting help with technical issues, staying on top of current news, events and alerts, and interacting with the community at large, regardless of where you call home. Four public lists are currently hosted:

  • NYPHP-Announce
    Our low traffic, moderated list, including news, events, special opportunities, and meeting announcements. This is the ideal way to stay abreast of the international AMP Technology community.
  • NYPHP-Talk
    Often regarded as one of the top discussion and support lists in the AMP community, a wide range of topics are covered. From development with Apache to IIS and Access to Oracle, join for technical and community discussion and support.
  • NYPHP-Organization
    The 'org' list is our internal communication channel for members and prospective volunteers to see NYPHP in action. Setup to facilitate cooperation and discussion within our group, join and get involved with NYPHP and AMP Technology.
  • NYPHP-Jobs
    The list for AMP Technology and IT job opportunities. Join to stay abreast of top job offerings and to discuss the job market, or post your open positions, resumes and networking events.
Through feedback from our community, New York PHP creates special interest groups (SIG) to harbor new discussion and technical know-how. The following SIGs are currently hosted:

    General discussion list for all things Symfony.

    We welcome and encourage working with existing Symfony groups and meet-ups - please feel free to post your community events and discuss here.
  • NYPHP SIG: Drupal (new)
    General discussion list for all things Drupal.

    We welcome and encourage working with existing Drupal groups and meet-ups - please feel free to post your community events and discuss here.
  • NYPHP SIG: Zend Framework (new)
    General discussion list for all things Zend Framework.
  • NYPHP SIG: Joomla
    General discussion list for the Joomla! CMS.
  • NYPHP SIG: PostgreSQL
    Join for general discussion of PostgreSQL. Although hosted at New York PHP, this list is not specific to using PostgreSQL with PHP. Whether you develop with C, Java, .NET, Perl, Python, or any other language, the PostgreSQL list supports you. Non-development discussion, such as DBA and management topics, are also welcomed here. No matter the topic, if it's relevant to PostgreSQL in some way, this list supports you.
  • NYPHP SIG: MySQL
    Join for general discussion of MySQL. Although hosted at New York PHP, this list is not specific to using MySQL with PHP. Whether you develop with C, Java, .NET, Perl, Python, or any other language, the MySQL list supports you. Non-development discussion, such as DBA and management topics, are also welcomed here. No matter the topic, if it's relevant to MySQL in some way, this list supports you.
  • NYPHP SIG: Front End
    Community for the development, coding and practical use of front end languages and technologies.
  • NYPHP SIG: Python
    General discussion list for the Python programming language. Join for technical and community discussion.
